The benefits and risks of Abbas's historic moment

WASHINGTON: The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, returns to the United Nations to seek an upgrade in status in the 193-member General Assembly to ''observer state'', a move opposed by the US and Israel because of the implied recognition of a Palestinian state. Mr Abbas is scheduled to speak at 3pm Thursday in New York (6am Friday Sydney time), and a vote will take place soon after.

Gillard's actions speak louder than weasel words

Australia shows little appetite for Palestinian statehood, Peter Rodgers writes

Julia Gillard's shame this week has a lot less to do with the AWU slush fund than her foolishness over the Palestinian Authority. The first is about grubby deal-making. The second is about how our national leader behaves on the world stage.

Israeli Terror: The “Final Solution” to the Palestine Question

Genocide at the Service of Greater Israel

In Israel, almost an entire people – over 80% of Jews – support, with varying degrees of intensity,  the terror bombing and slaughter of the people of Gaza.  Setting aside the profound sociopathic disorders of the raging and racist multitude in Israel, what is politically more significant are the totalitarian rants of leading Israeli public figures, published as editorials, in such newspapers as the respectable Jerusalem Post:

Israel’s War for Gaza’s Gas

“It is clear that without an overall military operation to uproot Hamas control of Gaza, no drilling work can take place without the consent of the radical Islamic movement.”

Israel's Violence on Palestenians

Right to Defend itself

Israel has always cried 'holocaust' tears to the world while singing the old tune of "Defending itself and its citizens". How do they do it? By banning or killing international journalists by bribing their supportive governments. Palestine is destroyed as a State so is Gaza. Meanwhile the "chronically suffering Israel" has developed to a point it does not need Uncle Sam anymore, see their infrastructure, see their military development up to nuclear programs... and they are the eternal "poor" in need. -- --
